Pay for your children's activities with the Fritidskortet

Each child receives SEK 550 per year. This applies from the year the child turns 6 up to and including the year the child turns 16. If your family received a housing allowance or housing supplement last year, you may be eligible for SEK 2,500 per child each year.

If you do not live together, the parent with whom the child is registered can pay using Fritidskortet.

Here's how to use Fritidskortet

1. Sign your child up for an activity
   Choose an activity offered by a club or cultural school that is part of the Fritidskortet scheme. Search for the club's name on fritidskortet.se to see if it is included in the scheme. You can also ask the club directly.
2. Wait for confirmation that your child has been accepted, then wait for the invoice
   You can pay with Fritidskortet once your child has been accepted into the activity and you have received an invoice from the club. If the club does not send invoices, you will need to obtain the following information from them:
    • Account number for payment.
    • The OCR number or the message that must be included with your payment.
3. Pay with Fritidskortet
   If the club has its own payment system, you should use it when paying with Fritidskortet. If the club does not have its own system, log in to fritidskortet.se and pay using the Fritidskortet there.

What activities can you pay for with the Fritidskortet?

You can use Fritidskortet for activities if they are led by a leader and are held on a regular basis. A regularly held activity is one that is held at least six times over a period of no more than six months. Examples of activities include various sports, organised outdoor activities and music or dance classes at the cultural school.

You can use Fritidskortet to pay

• fees charged by sports clubs, outdoor recreation organisations, or cultural schools (such as training fees, participation fees or membership fees)
• rental of equipment or assistive devices needed for the child to participate in the activity. This could include renting a guitar for a music class or renting sit-skis to participate in paraskiing.

Can I use Fritidskortet to make payments at any time during the year?

You can use Fritidskortet to pay between 5 January and 30 November. This applies to leisure activities that

• were completed during the year
• are currently active
• will begin later this year or next year.

You will receive information on how and when to pay using Fritidskortet from the club or cultural school responsible for the activity.

You can use the funds on your Fritidskort until 30 November. You are not able to carry over unused funds to the following year.
